If you plan to buy a king Charles Spaniel, you might want to know certain things as to what to feed it, how you groom it, how long it will live, if it’s a good family dog, does it have good temperament. Well do I have good information for you!

Let’s start off with how long it will live and what it weighs also what size it is. I will also tell what height it is. The average King Charles Spaniel lives for at least 9-14 years or more. It all depends on how well you take care of it. It weighs from between 10-14 pounds. You can always make it heavier though! A King Charles Spaniel is a small dog and will probably not get any bigger than that. It might get a tiny bit bigger if you’ve had it for a long time, but other than that it won’t get any bigger. The height of this dog is between 29-33 cm. Or in other measurements 12-13 inches.

A King Charles Spaniel is very intelligent. It is very easy to train one. It will obey you after a few days of training or more if you’re not doing it right. You see the best way to train a King Charles Spaniel is to food or treats. Once you start teaching it a new move, and it does it correctly one time give it one third of a treat. This is also a way to train it to go potty… outside. If your puppy starts to sit on its hind legs that’s when it probably is going to have to go potty. Once it gets in this position carry it outside onto the grass and let it go to the bathroom. As soon as it’s done go inside (alone) and get a treat. Come back out and give it one third of it. Keep doing this training until it learns that it’s supposed to go outside when it has to go. And when it finally does, stop giving it treats.
This is the best way to train your dog.

Feeding, grooming, and exercise
Even though you already know lots about a King Charles Spaniel, you’re probably wondering how to groom and feed it and exercise it. Let’s start with the grooming. To groom this type of dog you want to do daily brushing. After all it is a average shedder. Every time you do brush its hair, make sure you use a firm bristle brush to comb. Bathe or dry shampoo as needed. Always make sure that after a bathe the dog is completely dry and warm. Check the eyes for any sign of infection.
